Sean is racing singlespeed. He "raced a bunch in college but can't remember many specifics." College was that way for lots of us...
He tells us, "I can take care of myself. I'm a big boy now."
Sean offers us this insight:
"I'm often asked 'how do you train for a 125 mile mountain bike race?' (not really). I have four secrets.
1. A good taper. In fact, my training regimen is 100% taper. I haven't had my HR above 100 bpm since October of last year.
2. Elevation training. I keep my feet elevated while I drink beer on the couch. Works wonders. A key to any racer's success.
3. A Good Sponsor. My sponsor, Calavera Cycles, is great. They paid my trip down to Salida. They allow me a major role in the designing of their products. They treat me like I'm their only Customer. Thanks Calavera Cycles!
4. Race Strategy. It's important to have a race strategy and to stick to it. My strategy for the Vapor Trail 125? Start of slow then ease up a bit."
Look for Sean to represent CA and Calavera Cycles in style at this year's Vapor Trail.
