If you're looking through this whole site, and you're paying attention, you may have noticed that I said "It just don't GIT no better than this!" when talking about the Monarch Crest trail in the previous section. Well, perhaps it does. The Agate Creek Trail is almost all downhill. It's fast, it crosses the creek a bunch, and it's full of lush, shady, beautiful spots (as if you'll have time to smell the columbine).
This trail stands alone as a fantastic frigging bike ride. To throw it into the middle of an event like this is just going to be unreal for the racers. Kind of like having a conjugal visit.
