The Poncha Creek jeep road will be the road you take back towards civilization. It has some rocky technical fast-dropping parts, and some smooth and pretty parts. Follows along the pretty little Poncha Creek, which empties into the South Fork of the Arkansas, which empties into the Arkansas right in Salida. You and this water are headed for the same place, but only you have a picnic waiting for you.
This is the turn off to the Starvation Creek road from the Poncha Creek road (you'll go straight)
This is an old stone bridge from the narrow gauge days, the old narrow guage line goes up to the left, but you'll cross the bridge and roll downhill to Salida to the race finish.
